So what is an electric bike and how will it help me get fitter?

Electric bikes are like ordinary bikes but come fitted with a motor and  battery .
The experience is very pleasant and always puts a big smile on everyone's face.
You do not need a driving license or insurance, there' s no road tax to pay, no fuel to pay and parking is always free -  plus they can be ridden on cycle paths.

But will I get fitter?

A lot of people buy a bike to get fit, but find it much harder going than they thought.
With an electric bike, you can vary the level of assistance and only pedal as much or as little as you like.
As you get better and go for longer rides, you'll pedal more and go out more and build up your stamina.
Recent surveys have shown that electric bikes encourage users to go out and ride far more often compared to normal bikes.
Doctors are now also recommending electric cycling for anyone who is overweight, after surgery to help with building up stamina or has health conditions such as asthma.

Come along and have some fun!
